User Reviews

I received this bicycle very carefully packaged in a reinforced box. Assembly was moderately extensive, but not complicated. That is, except for the 3 speed hub, because there were no instructions for this hub in the owner's manual. Fortunately, it was easy to analyze and determine the correct assembly procedure.

For future buyers, insert the spring rod assembly into the hollow axle with the flanged end out. Push the gear change assembly into the axle nut, aligning with the hex. The gear index window should be facing up. Holding it in place, tighten the 10mm screw to lock it in place. No gear adjustment will be required, as it is correctly set during manufacture.

Everything fit well, but be sure to adjust the rear fender so that it doesn't rub on the tire (easy to do).

Once assembled and adjusted to fit my wife, a test ride revealed the bicycle to be very comfortable and smooth riding, with effortless gear changing.

We found the coaster brake to be a bit noisy until broken in.

On the road, my wife is very happy with the bike. It is quite attractive and it fits her perfectly.

I had only one issue during assembly. Screws for the rear fender support are pre-installed. You must remove them to install the fender supports. One of these was tightened so much that it was impossible to remove without stripping out the philips screw head. I drilled it out and removed it with an "easy-out". I then replaced it with another metric screw. All other screws were only partially threaded in, and were easy to remove. I suspect that this was the exception, not the rule.
